One of the most recognizable and famous motorcycles of all time, the Indian Chief is a must have for any bike collector. This bike is a fantastic old mount that I have owned for decades. A rare occurrence among Chiefs, this one is all numbers matching, and the bike shows no signs of any previous damage, shoddy repairs, or modifications. Equipped with some nice factory accessories, and finished in the best color (in my opinion!) for a Chief ~ sold black with chrome wheels.
Factory left-hand tank shift and right hand throttle, with a “heel to go, toe to slow” foot clutch, it is a great old bike to ride.
If you truly want to feel like you are on top of your game, take one of these old bikes through rush hour traffic in any city. Nothing tests your reflexes and coordination like a good left hand shift, right hand throttle, left hand spark advance, and suicide clutch rig Oh yeah, and if you can avoid looking like a monkey with a football, then you ARE on your game.
Oh, and as they said in period “If I owned a Harley, I’d leave it out for a thief, and use the insurance money to buy an Indian Chief.”
