Delivered new to Sun Valley Ford in Concord, California this Hot Ginger Metallic Bronco had covered just 39,000 miles before it found me. It left the factory with the 302 V8, 3 speed manual, Ranger package, dual gas tanks, 3.50 limited slip differentials, HD cooling, and a host of other options. The original owner had Sun Valley Ford install the rear fender flares, chrome wheels, air conditioning, and a cool fan in the rear of the hardtop prior to delivery. It has that classic California early Bronco look, the way I remember these looking when they were new and I was just a kid reading 4×4 magazines in the Midwest where cool trucks like this didn’t exist.
Other than the vintage Don “Big Daddy” Garlits tach and Hurst floor shifter I installed it is exactly as it left Ford’s San Jose plant- original factory applied paint and all.
I’ve added roughly 12,000 miles to the odometer so far as I absolutely love this Bronco. You just can’t replace the feeling of a well cared for original truck like this but I always knew there was something extra special about this particular Bronco, and I figured it out when I received the Marti report: It was built on December 29th- my birthday!
